Take typical MINI go-kart handling and unique design. Add an innovative body concept and a twist of cutting-edge technology. And what have you got? The MINI Paceman Concept − the first Sporty Activity Coupé (SAC) in the small-car segment.

 
 

PUMPED UP AND PREMIUM.

 

Take a quick look at the front of the MINI Paceman Concept and you may be reminded of the MINI Countryman: well-contoured bonnet, imposing bumpers, prominent radiator grille. Take a longer look and you'll notice the subtle, yet crucial differences. The front headlights are even more acutely angled and additional intakes in the lower grille combine within deep-set fog lamps to sharpen the sporty edge even further.

 
 

BODY SHAPE.

 

BRINGING UP THE REAR.

 

Viewed from the side, the design of the MINI Paceman Concept catches the eye − and stays there. Newly interpreted side scuttles help to accentuate the light-alloy wheels – although, at 19 inches, they hardly need any accentuating. Then there's the waistline, tapering up past beefy rear wings to meet the helmet roof and create a unique dynamic wedge shape. Newly interpreted rear lights, a twin exhaust and diffuser-style apron help to emphasise the wide track of the MINI Paceman Concept at the rear.

Beneath the bonnet of the MINI Paceman Concept is the most powerful commercially available MINI drive system, as used in the current John Cooper Works models. Add to that top-of-the-range chassis technology as well as electric power steering and it's hardly surprising that the MINI Paceman Concept is bursting at the seams with go-kart feeling.
